The team at Roller Die + Forming is choosing to support USA Cares again this year as part of our holiday philanthropy efforts. Many of our employees are veterans and we want show that we appreciate their service and care about what happens to military personnel when they return from overseas.
Many servicemen need on-going treatment or run into financial difficulties when transitioning from life in the military to life as a civilian. USA Cares works with post-9/11 servicemen and their families to provide financial support as well as advocacy when they need it the most. Their goal is to work with each family to restore financial stability and self-sufficiency. Often families only need a little help or some friendly advice pointing them in the right direction to be able to overcome the challenges they face.
Focusing on the combat-injured and their families, USA Cares aims to provide early intervention to prevent financial distress and suffering. Providing response within 48 hours of notification, and working with service providers such as utilities and mortgage companies, USA Cares provides support for families while a service member attends PTSD or other necessary treatments, helps save homes from foreclosure, provides relocation assistance for families with new careers, restores utilities, and even provides food.
Originally Kentuckiana Cares and launched by a grassroots partnership between WAVE-3 TV and Kroger Food Stores in Louisville, Kentucky, USA Cares became a national 501(c)(3) in 2003 to handle the increasing number of requests for assistance. Roller Die + Forming is headquartered in Louisville and has been an active supporter of USA Cares since 2010. We believe that service men and women should have the support of the citizens of the US during and after their service to our country.
