Rapidly growing custom metal forming company Roller Die works with the elves at Santa’s Workshop to make custom racking and automated storage and retrieval systems.
NORTH POLE, December 25, 2019 — Santa’s Workshop awards Roller Die + Forming with award for being a top supplier and working on their warehouse upgrade project. Roller Die supplied a number of different profiles that facilitated upgrading the toy warehouse to an automatic retrieval system, helping the elves achieve their objective to adopt more technology into the Christmas process.
“We were thrilled with the excellent service the team at Roller Die provided,” shared Santa. “They worked with our elves to find ways to optimize the different part profiles to keep costs under control. That means more resources to spend on the children.”
The Roller Die engineers worked with the elves in extreme secrecy to design and produce the parts. The project had a tight timeline to ensure the warehouse was improved and expanded in time to place toys on the shelves. Roller Die’s library of standard tooling and experience working with the material handling industry were valuable in being able to complete the project on time.
“It takes a lot of warehouse space to store all the toys Santa’s Workshop makes throughout the year, so we knew this would be a big project,” shared Roller Die CEO Ray Hammons. “We leveraged our value-add inline processes to keep start-up costs low and developed a kitting system to help streamline delivery and assembly. We’re thrilled this project was completed on time and that the elves are using parts rolled by our team to help prepare for the holidays.”
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the entire Roller Die team.
